brandsExclusive can now claim to be Australia’s largest online shopping club, with over 1.7 million members and having sold over 2.5 million products since its launch in May 2009.
In order to celebrate its third birthday, brandsExclusive has launched a social promotion, prompting members to sign up as many friends and family members as possible. By June 29, the person who registers the highest number of friends will win a Mini Ray car.
Of course, it’s not like brandsExclusive doesn’t already have plenty of momentum when it comes to signing up new members. The company, founded by Daniel Jarosch, can claim a member list that grows at an average of 70,000 new members each month. The website’s popularity is supplemented with mobile applications for both iPad and iPhone.
These numbers appear significant, and the more engagement new users have with the site, the more potential there is for conversion. brandsExclusive, based on the private sales model of the likes of Vente-privée, may prove more resilient than the group buying model of Spreets or Groupon, which some believe to be showing signs of flagging.
brandsExclusive also placed fifth on BRW’s Fast Starters List this year.
