Both classic prints, florals and stripes are key trends for summer 2013 in their own right. But when you mix them together, suddenly you have a whole new look that’s fun, edgy and totally unique.

Over the past few years, Aussie grown talent Candice Lake has exploded into the fashion scene and into best dressed lists across the globe. Model, photographer and blogger now based in London, we love her bold, eclectic but oh-so-on-trend style.
Many designers made a foray into feminine embellishments this season, with ruffles, eyelets and scallops gracing the edges of everything from flirty frocks to springly separates.
While too much of the trend may ruffle some feathers, when done right the result can be gorgeously eye-catching. See the trend on the spring/summer 2013 runways below.
The floral trend is certainly here to stay, and this season we saw many iterations of the pretty pattern taking on an even more pronounced form by way of ultra textured finishes and bold embellishments.
