Fashion boutique owner and formal model, Laurina Fleure, may not have stolen Bachelor Blake Garvey’s heart, but she won Australia over with her wit, candidness (we will never forget #dirtystreetpie) and her amazing sense of style.
The brunette beauty shunned the sparkles while on the reality dating show, and instead insisted on wearing her own brand Pialia, and it’s safe to say her understated elegance made her stand out against the other contestants.
Laurina launched the online store four years ago, and the pieces are handpicked by her, “keeping in mind an air of luxury, glamour and understated elegance”.
“I personally try on every piece before stocking it to make sure the fit and cut are great. Priding myself on not only choosing pieces made from beautiful quality fabrics, I also look for pieces that have a timeless quality and impeccable tailoring,” she says.
According to Laurina, beautiful clothes can be so much more than just a fashion statement.
“I believe that when you when you wear fine fabrics you carry yourself differently. You hold an attitude of poise and grace, and you exude an air of elegance,” she says.
“Pialia has a classic undertone to it, so the range has a lot of A-frame, A-line skirts and dresses inspired by international fashionistas trends,” she adds.
The Melbourne-based fashionista has today found love with internet entrepreneur Lewis Romano, and she has some sound advice on what to wear – and not to wear – on a date:
“For date night, I think it’s important to be quite feminine. Edgy pieces are fashionable, but I think dressing too edgy can be a bit too confronting for men, so dressing more feminine – especially for a first date – can have a softer impact. I think you can disarm a man by using your femininity, so save the edgy outfits for a later date!”
