Welcome to the very first be: Styled, an exciting weekly article curated by our resident brandsExclusive stylist, the ultra-talented Bianca Pizem.

Hey Guys!

Bianca here with the very first episode of Be: Styled! To celebrate this new and exciting weekly article, we’re talking smart style for the season of summer celebrations ahead.

We know how many events tend to fill up the diaries during the holiday season – a BBQ here, a cocktail party there – and we know how tough it can be to put together a different outfit for each and every one!

But fear not! If you’re smart about the way you put your classic, every season basics together with more on trend pieces, one simple outfit can be changed up to create a variety of different options. It’s all about how your wear it!

Check out the outfits below for inspiration – all pieces can be found on brandsExclusive!

Look 1: Prints-a-Plenty
This summer is all about coloured statement pieces and bold prints. Don’t be afraid to wear two printed pieces together for a fun, casual day look. A lightweight, tailored blazer in a vivid hue takes this look from beach to BBQ in a flash.

Model Wears: Zanerobe polka dot  T, Henleys stripe shorts, Hunt No More red blazer, Ru De Lux bracelets, Cheap Monday sunglasses, stylist’s own shoes

Look 2:  Pretty in Pastels
Pastels are huge this season, and these pretty hues are just perfect for colour blocking together. Add a cute shopper tote and a pair of strappy heels for a look that’s super stylish and bang on trend. And talk about versatile: the tunic top can also be worn alone as a dress – just add a skinny belt to define the waist.

Model Wears: Tim O’Connor yellow T dress (worn as top), Mavi coral jeans, Rubi Bag, Cheap Monday Sunglasses, Loop watch, RMK shoes

Look 3:  Spots and the City
For instant city-girl chic, you can’t go wrong with these excellent polkadot pants. The possibilities are endless: team them with a crisp white shirt for the office, or a simple white (or coloured) tee for brunch with the girls. Roll up the hems for a cropped Capri look or add a pair of loafers for more comfortable style.

Model Wears: Skinny Nelson white tee, Milk and Honey polka dot pants, Rubi bag, Ru De Lux necklace, Cheap Monday Sunglasses, Rubi shoes

For the guys, I suggest keeping your look muted and simple this summer. And don’t forget… men can accessorise too!

Look 4: Double Denim
Say what you will about double denim – when done right it makes for a perfect urban look. Blue hues go perfectly with neutral tones; think white, beige or taupe.

Model Wears: Skinny Nelson white tee, Lee polka dotted denim shirt, Lee light denim jeans, Urge bag, New Era hat, model’s own shoes

Look 5: Flannel Fabulous
Invest in a range of cotton singlets (or tees if they’re more your style) for summer in classic, wear anywhere colours. Accessorise with a versatile and durable flannel shirt for those cool summer nights.
