Black or White: Print on Trend
Prints got a monochromatic makeover this season, with black, white and grey combinations ruling the runways.
Ever in style, black and white together offers easy sophistication. Introduce the trend to your wardrobe through a printed blouse paired with a black skirt, or a cosy winter shift dress.
Jill Stuart added pops of the print to simple-but-effective dresses and elegantly tailored separates.
Jonathan Saunders used the black and white trend as the common thread through an otherwise very diverse collection. Giant floral blooms, embellished sheers and even double plaid got a look in.
Fendi worked the trend with a subtle black and white micro print on structured shirts and tights.
Marni channelled this year’s strong pyjama trend, teaming oh-so-cute floral separates together . Black and white prints were also used in a series of cosy checked outerwear.
There were bold graphic black and whites used throughout Diane von Furstenberg’s autumn collection, splashed over louche jumpsuits and winter shifts.
