Braids are Back!
The top RTW beauty trend continues to reign, with braids of all shapes and sizes making many appearances on this season’s couture catwalks. Elie Saab’s cornrow braids complimented the designer’s byzantine inspired collection, where it was paired with a natural, slightly flushed face and a hint of winged liner on the eyes. Headband braids looked super-cute at Zahia Dehar Lingerie, while the style went windswept at Yiqing Yin.
Baby Blues
The ’80s returned to the runways in the form of exaggerated blue shadow around the eyes. Chanel worked the trend with an otherwise natural face, adding contrast with a thickly lined black lid. Giambattista Valli opted for sparkly blue accenting underneath his netted veils, while at Dior blue eyes were accentuated by neon pink liner and a cerise lip.
Ballet Buns
A timeless classic, the sleek, chic ballet bun added some serious sophistication to many beauty looks. Models wore high buns and pared-back makeup at Valentino, letting natural beauty shine. We saw a unique twist on the style at Armani Prive, while a simple low bun was finished off with a not-so-simple beaded headpiece Jean Paul Gaultier.
