Pyjama Party!
Matched separates and long, louche tailoring akin to our most comfy bed-wear are set to be a major trend this season, if recent runway trends are anything to go by.
‘Pajama dressing’ originated during the Jazz Age - albeit for the purpose of lounging about at home. However this season’s runways saw Stella Mccartney, Hermes, J.W. Anderson, Richard Nicol and No. 21 capture the low-maintenance comfort of these slinky separates with a more street-friendly edge.
Try the trend at home simply by teaming lean, leg-lengthening trousers with a no-fuss shirt. Your top should sit just below the trouser line or can be loosely tucked in.
For evening, try elegant slouchy silk trousers, button-front tops and dressing-gown style jackets, but be sure keep the look clean with groomed hair, sleek shoes and minimal accessories. The trick is to look effortlessly thrown together – not as if you just rolled out of bed!
