With his modern take on classic silhouettes, Australian Designer Nicola Finetti gives women the possibility to explore their inner self and embrace their individuality, femininity, invention and strength.
Born in Italy, Finetti initially trained as an architect in Rome before moving to Sydney in 1984. A need to express his creativity in a more intimate way opened the door to fashion design, and he launched his eponymous label in the mid 1990s.
Each season, Finetti offers up a beautiful selection of pieces that embody his signature sensual, romantic and highly tactile form. Finding strong inspiration in contrast; strong-soft, light-dark, structure-freedom, Finetti works to anchor these in a sensual modern form which runs a common thread through his collections.
Finetti’s current collection entitled Sliding Doors features an eclectic mix of bold colour and geometric print bound together through shades of black. Sumptuous gowns, structured frocks and sexy separates incorporate Finetti’s signature lines and cuts, allowing the wearer to explore alternate histories, different identities and individual personalities.
